The TLC Vox Box

I always look forward to receiving VoxBoxes from Influenster.
This box was based on Moms and their needs.
The box includes the following:
1. Neosporin Neo To Go! - love this product. cannot say enough great things about it. I already use it and keep it in my purse. I have two very active boys so this is definitely a necessity.

2. Puffs To Go: travel tissues are a must. These are extra soft and strong. Staples for my purse.

3. Ivory Bar Soap: I have super sensitive skin and have used Ivory for years.  Did you know that there are lots of different uses for it?

4. Avon ANEW Wrinkle smoother: So nice to see a cosmetic product in there for mom. I don't have wrinkles yet, but I did like the feeling of this on my skin. It left it really soft.

5. Breyers Gelato Coupon: A coupon for a free container of Breyers Gelato. I used this right away and picked up the Triple Chocolate  - it did not disappoint. Truly delicious!

6. Shell Fuel Rewards Card: I like the thought of it and signed myself up. There isn't one close enough to me to make me a regular customer, but I surely will use it if I am near one.

Overall I am really happy with the box and thrilled at the opportunity to try it out!!

Lysol Power & Free Review

I received a bottle of Lysol Power & Free spray cleaner and wipes as part of a Lysol review.
Since I am a clean freak and am always looking for new products to try I was super psyched about this one.

I immediately tried it out in my bathroom. I used the spray in my shower and tub and was definitely surprised. No fumes or harsh chemical smell. It was actually a pleasant citrus scent. I didn't need to open my windows or even wear gloves. It was gentle enough on my hands.

I love the wipes. They are perfect for wiping down countertops, sinks and toilets. Let's face it, with two little boys I am constantly wiping something down. I really loved how these cleaned and left the bathroom and kitchen smelling fresh.

So, hear are the specs:

  • Uses hydrogen peroxide to release thousands of micro-bubbles that penetrate and dissolve tough stains.
  • Requires no gloves, masks or protective eye wear
  • Kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria
I would say this is pretty much one of the best non-bleach products I have used.

I received free product for reviewing purposes, however all opinions are my own.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Just a bunch of randomness here for you. It's Wednesday and not a lot going on around here.

It has been crazy hot.
Unbearably hot.
I broke down and bought this at Target the other day:

It was on sale and I think I paid $25 for it.
Here are the boys playing in it today:

Sure beats the sprinklers!

These have got to be the best gardening gloves - hands down!

I actually bought a spare, but haven't had to use them yet.
I am highly allergic to everything so I need to wear gloves at all times.
These are awesome!
I have only seen them at marshalls and home goods, so worth the $3.99!!

I read about it online and just had to jump on the band wagon:

Orlando Pita set sold at Costco.
I think it was $16.99 for the trio.
So worth every penny.
It smells AMAZING!!
Like vanilla and coconuts. So good.
It left my hair so soft, and a lot less frizzy.
It smells amazing even with 2nd day hair.
Love it, actually thinking of going back and buying a spare set
because I am afraid it will be gone.

And keeping with hair....I stumbled upon these hair ties at Sephora:

a total impulse buy that paid off.
Love these.
They are amazing, my favorite purchase of the summer.
They are not a tie that will stay on your wrist because they stretch out, a lot.
But, if I am gardening, cooking, cleaning and even sleeping...yes I wear them to bed,
they do not leave a mark at all.
I literally can put my hair in a messy bun or pony tail and I have never had a mark.
Even sleeping the whole night, nothing.
Love them.

Lastly, my new favorite thing are these bakery keepers by Sistema:

I stumbled upon them in HomeGoods.
They are air tight and come with their own measuring cup.
It says you can fit an entire regular bag of flour in here, but it didn't for me.
No matter, I still love them. They fit perfectly into my pantry and make me happy just looking at them!
The price was right only $5.99.

So that's what I'm loving today.

Colgate Total Mouth Wash - Review

I was super lucky to try out this new mouth wash through
If you haven't heard of it you can go here to check them out.
Sometime you get to test out really cool products and post about them like I am now.

So, they mailed me this bottle of Colgate Total Mouthwash to try.

I am a total fan of mouthwashes. We use them all the time in my house.
I have a hard time with ones that are really strong tasting.
This one was really pleasant. It was a nice light minty flavor, not harsh at all.
It did not dry my mouth out and left me feeling clean.
I would say that I really loved it!
I would certainly purchase it.

Just to give you a few of the specs on it, it boasts:
-kills 99% of germs
-significantly reduces plaque
-helps prevent gingivitis
-no burn of alcohol
-freshens breath

I'm a believer. I think it worked great.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

J Crew Copycat Shorts

It has been ages since I posted.
I can hardly believe we are in the thick of Summer!
I had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket and
J.Crew has had such awesome sales this past week.
I was able to snag a pair of their 5" chino shorts:

I got them in a pretty pink color and they are no longer available.
I think I paid $17 for them. I have not been able to find any other colors in my size.

So, when I popped in to Target this morning for some essentials I stumbled upon these:

This is Merona's version of the 5" chino short. Limited stock so  I was happy to snag a pair
of khaki colored ones.
These are a pretty darn close to the J.Crew version.
They are on sale in the store for $13.99 I think.
I may have to hunt down a few more pairs....I love them!

Happy Summer!

Ivory 2- in-1 Review

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you the most recent product I have been
testing from

It is Ivory's new 2-in-1 Hair and Body Wash.

It boasts that it is a body cleanser as well as a shampoo and conditioner all in one.
So, I have been testing this since Friday along with my husband and two boys.
So far we love it!
It has a super clean and refreshing scent, which is what we need with two stinky boys in the house!
I have been using it on the boys who typically have dry skin and are prone to eczema and this
has been very hydrating as well. I do wash the boys hair and my husband has been using it as a hair and body wash as well.
I have been using it mainly as a body wash because I dye my hair and I just can not mess with that.
But the great thing about this is the nice lather, the smell and it keeps your skin soft and hydrated.
I love that the smell lingers on your skin - so clean and fresh!

I don't know if you can tell from the picture above, but the bottle is huge.
I did see it this weekend at my local grocery store and you simply can't beat the price.
We have more shower space now because we were able to remove several bottles and replace it with just one!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
